"If in doubt, do it anyway"

Was the best advice I ever received. It was meant to relate to travel adventures, but it's ended up being a mantra for my life. I have taken more risks than I feel comfortable with and gained a huge amount of experience as a result. Around 30 years on, I remain extremely grateful for that advice (from someone I hardly knew, said in passing). In our ever changing world, reflecting on who we are and important influences in our lives can be very grounding. Try it!


The picture below was taken by me, just before I jumped on the sled pulled by a Reindeer in the Swedish Arctic Circle. It was -20 degrees. Next time we talk I'll tell you the full story... it wasn't as serene as this picture implies...
