What’s the view like from up there?

In team sessions I sometimes invite people to pick an animal that represents themselves at their best and another when they’re not great, then share rationale for their selections.

I got to meet and touch my “best animal” last week on a visit to Gibbs Farm. (Private collection of giant outdoor sculptures and exotic animals). Why a giraffe? Well, when I’m at my best I am up high and calm, able to see what is happening all around, make connections, and respond, or not, in an informed way. It’s also the place where I come up with creative ideas, process information and resolve challenges.

What’s your “best animal” and why?

If you and your team would like to grow awareness and connection, try the animal exercise, or get in touch.
