đź’° If your team had $1,000 to invest in itself, where would they put it?

That was the question I posed in a Team Coaching session this week.
💰 I gave each team member $100 ($1,000 in total) and asked them to allocate funds across Team Superpowers (developed by Dr Cathryn Lloyd & me).
I asked “Where would we get the greatest return if we invested more of our time, energy and attention?”
The result surprised me a little - for a bunch of anti-“fluffy stuff” (mainly) blokes.
The top four were:
🌟 Resilience  - bounce forward, adjust, maintain focus, supporting each other.
🌟 Team Awareness - understanding each other, patterns, strengths & gaps, decision making, impact.
🌟 Adaptability - collective ability to listen, learn, experiment, pivot, grow.
🌟 Sensing - noticing signals, seeing patterns and dynamics, environmental awareness.
Then we talked about:
"If resilience is worth investing in, what would that investment look like?"
"If team awareness is important, are we creating enough time to notice what’s happening within the team?"
"If adaptability matters, are we giving ourselves permission to experiment, learn and respond differently?"
And "If sensing is a priority, are we paying enough attention to what’s happening around us?"
Teams, like anything worth growing, need investment.
